A dry cupping and oil massage session combines two things. Cups are placed on the skin and the air inside them is drawn out, so each cup holds in place and lifts the skin slightly under the rim; some are left where they are for a short while, others are moved slowly along skin that has been oiled. The rest of the session is an oil massage worked around them. It runs for 90 minutes at Rs 700, the longest booking on our list, and the one thing worth knowing beforehand is that round marks the size of the cup can appear afterwards and then fade.

The cups are small and rounded, and they are applied one at a time. Air is drawn out so the cup grips and the skin rises a little inside it. What people notice first is that the sensation runs the opposite way to a normal massage: a steady pull upwards on the skin rather than pressure pushed down into it. That is the single thing that makes this session feel unlike anything else on our list.
Cupping and oil massage share the 90 minutes between them, and the therapist will say at the start how the session is going to run and where the cups are going. They are usually placed on the broader, flatter areas - the back and shoulders most often, sometimes the legs. How strongly a cup is applied is adjustable throughout, and a cup can come off at any point simply because you asked for it.
The marks are worth setting expectations about, because a first-time customer is often surprised by them. Round marks roughly the size of the cup rim can show on the skin where the cups sat, the colour varies from one person to the next, and they fade on their own over the following days. They are the ordinary result of the suction rather than a sign that something went wrong. If you have something coming up where you would rather not have them, plan around it, or book a hot oil massage instead - that one is worked entirely by hand.
